Saturday June 13th, 2026 at 10 AM, 12 PM & 2 PM EST
This event is hosted by the Ligonier Valley Library, with Spencer of Redoubt Productions serving at the tour guide.
History-minded tours offered in collaboration by the Ligonier Valley Library & Redoubt Productions are scheduled to return Saturday, June 13th, 2026. For the first time, we will be offering a guided walking tour of East Main Street and West Main Street. On East Main Street, you will learn about one the last surviving hotel structures from the town’s logging days as well as the famed Ivy Manor. On West Main Street, you will discover the evolution of Ligonier’s movie houses as well as the various uses of The Thistledown. There will also be a 12 PM offering of the highly popular Diamond Walking Tour, navigating around the iconic landmarks fronting our town square.
All tours are approximately an hour in length and are conducted from the public sidewalk. All tours will meet outside of the front doors of the Ligonier Valley Library. The Main Street Tours will conclude a distance of approximately two town blocks from our starting point at the Library. The Diamond Tour is designed to be a loop and concludes in front of the Library. Tours are FREE to attend. For more information, be sure to visit the Library’s website or pay a visit to the Pennsylvania Room of the Ligonier Valley Library. We look forward to to guiding you on our paths to our past.
Tour guests are advised to dress appropriately for the weather & walking on sidewalk. Tours strive to run rain or shine, but may be cancelled on account of severe weather (heat or storms)
